But then, slowly - through friends, or perhaps an older brother or sister - you discover Canberra's true night life: a thriving scene of music lovers, DJs and promoters running big nights in small spaces. Together you run the gauntlet of musical trends, breakups, venue closures and hangovers.

REV may have had the best funeral ever… but founder ALEXISALEX and long time resident RADAR are gonna revive that indie renaissance with back to back, post-Y2K INDIE JAMS!

Ambitious, impulsive and extremely DIY… STRANGEWAYS DJS will roll deep and close out with a set of EXCLUSIVE, NEXT-LEVEL MASHUPS and VIP bassy classics.

In this, its fifth year, of course you'll see the return of the famous SYNTHETIC GRASS DANCEFLOOR… but we've delved deeper into the world OF MONSTERS AND MEN (and BOYS & BEARS) than ever before to bring you a true POLYPHONIC SPREE: it's A SPLENDOUR MINI FESTIVAL (from 8pm)! Featuring COLD WAR (KIDS) defectors STRANGEWYS + the JUNGLE GIANTS of Canberra: #GRLPWR, JK ROLLIN', RADAR, BAMBII, ARCHITECT DJS, NEONBOMBS and PELVIC.

Official Parklife Afterparty this Saturday! feat. suprise Parklife Artist!

most of you with undoubtedly be going to Parklife this Saturday. Well, the good folks over at Rats have invited us to play the Official Parklife Afterparty feat. surprise Parklife Artist!

There will be all 3 LEVELS open this night: downstairs, smokers and mezzanine, it's going to be large so come down and party! Strangeways are playing 10-11 in the smokers room, so make sure you get there nice and early.

Stoneday 2012 - We're playing the Silent Party!

IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!

Strangeways DJs are proud to announce we're playing Stoneday 2012!

Entering its 44^th year of awesome parties of all shapes and sizes to commemorate the laying of the University of Canberra’s Foundation Stone, Stone Day is here to stay, and is singing a brand new tune and rocking a fresh new look in 2012. Bringing with it all the fun, festivities and atmosphere of the carnival, Stone Day 2012 boasts the theme ’Carnie Party’, and will be held on Friday 26 October 2012 in and around Zierholz @ UC over four stages: THE ZIERHOLZ STAGE, THE SILENT PARTY, THE BALLY and THE CAR PARK CARNIVAL, ensuring there won’t be a corner of Stone Day 2012 that isn’t abuzz with party vibes.

It left the STRANGEWAYS DJS wondering: CAN WE GET MUCH HIGHER? (Because legally, we can't get any louder). So this year, we're going GOOD, BETTER, BEST… OF SPLENDOUR!

SPLENDOUR IN THE BAR will not only deliver the best the 2012 SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS LINEUP has to offer: with your help we'll also create a 1HR MIDNIGHT MEGAMIX of the greatest music EVER PLAYED at SPLENDOUR to celebrate the blossoming of the festival's HOT, FORBIDDEN TWEEN-AGE FRUIT. And of course, we're also bringing:

A SYNTHETIC GRASS DANCEFLOOR! The incomparable local talent of RADAR and ARCHITECT DJs! And the awesome audio-visual spectacle that is the STRANGEWAYS DJS, under a canopy of STARS.

Not since the LAST DINOSAURS will you experience such EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY. There's some BIG SCARY GOSSIP going round that it MIIKE SNOW. Then again, it miike not. Either way, a LANA DEL REY of sunshine is coming into your world on SATURDAY 4 AUG!
